I have finished putting together the vid for our Heroic Atramedes kill last night. It was a good kill, well done everyone for persevering through all of the <1% wipes as well as the trash resets ><.

It is with great pleasure that I present to you our kill video for Cho’gall.
But first, some background….

We spent a good 2 nights learning Cho’gall, making improvements, tweaking our strategy.. This is what we found worked for us:
We used 2 tanks, 2 healers and 6 dps. Originally, we started off with 3 healers. We cut this down to 2 healers to give us more dps to be able to get to phase 2 just after the 4th add popped. Well guys it would appear that we only have one more boss to kill before we have cleared all of the normal raid content and gotten our hands on some pretty sweet helms.

So with that in mind I have sat down and drawn up a bit of a strategy based primarily on the tankspot video. Keep in mind that this video was for a 25man kill so we might need to adjust things a little bit when we actually attempt it. However, it gives you a pretty good idea about what you should be expecting when we fight him:

Hi guys,

We’d had one previous night on Al’akir and were making progress. Sorting out our platform placements and trying to experience as much of the encounter as possible. A moonkin issue was annoying us throughout the evening but we did get to see Phase 3 that night.

Next raid night we came back and killed him. Congratulations on our first final boss kill in Cataclysm. Well done everyone! Here is the footage… Enjoy!
